Motorists should be aware of vehicles entering and leaving the roadway.

State Road 26 ( West Newberry Road) Depression Repairs near 43rd Street Traffic Impacts

Interstate 10 resurfacing between the Duval County line and U.S. 90 Traffic Impacts
September 6 - September 12, 2008:
Daytime lane closures at the overpasses at U.S 90, CSX Railroad, County Road 125 and at the Little St. Marys River Bridge to clean and seal the bridge joints. No lane closures Friday through Sunday. Beginning Monday night and continuing through Wednesday night, a moving operation will take place to grind in the rumble strips on the paved shoulders between U.S. 90 and State Road 121. There may be other lane closures throughout the limits of the project between State Road 121 (Exit 335) and U.S. 90 (Exit 324) to install traffic monitoring sensors (traffic counters) in the pavement at various locations. This resurfacing project is expected to be complete by September 19.

This project should be completed by early 2009.

Branan Field Chaffee Road extension between 103rd Street and I-10 Traffic Impacts

I-10 westbound within the project limits WILL BE TOTALLY CLOSED on the nights of Wednesday, September 10 and Thursday, September 11 from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. Detour signs will be posted. The project should be completed in the fall of 2009.
Broward (DAMES POINT) Bridge Repainting Project
April 28, 2008 - April 28, 2009: One outside northbound lane on the (Broward) Dames Point Bridge has been closed and will remain closed for about a year. One southbound outside lane closed earlier will remain closed until the end of this year.
The lane closures are necessary for equipment and scaffolding needed to repaint the sides of the bridge.
The merge pattern for northbound traffic coming onto the bridge from Merrill Road and Southside Boulevard has also changed to allow for a safe placement of traffic information signs about the construction. The new traffic pattern provides a smoother transition for traffic to the bridge from the merge area because of the closed northbound lane. The new merge pattern is closer to Merrill Road and Southside Boulevard than than it was before so watch for this change as you travel in the area.
The bridge repainting project started on February 21, 2007 and should be completed by the spring of 2009.
Broward (Dames Point) Bridge repainting project Traffic Impacts
September 6 - September 12, 2008:
About 2,600 feet of the right southbound lane near the peak of the bridge is closed until the end of 2008 for the bridge repainting project. About 2,600 feet of the right northbound lane is closed until the spring of 2009. This project should be finished in the summer of 2009.

The estimated completion time for this project is early 2011.
Interstate 95/ S.R. 9A east interchange reconstruction near JIA Traffic Impacts
September 6 - September 12, 2008:
I-95 northbound at S.R. 9A WILL BE TOTALLY CLOSED on Tuesday, September 9 from 11 p.m. to 3 a.m. for moving a crane across the roadway and related construction activities. Detour signs will be posted. I-95 southbound between Duval Road and S.R. 9A WILL BE TOTALLY CLOSED on Thursday, September 18 from 11 p.m. to 5 a.m. for roadway construction activities. Detour signs will be posted. One southbound lane from Cole Road to the I-295/S.R. 9A interchange (about 4,000 feet long on the outside) is closed for ramp construction until approximately November 2008. The new ramp from I-95 south to S.R. 9A east should be finished in the fall of 2010.
J. Turner Butler Boulevard widening between Kernan Boulevard and San Pablo Road Traffic Impacts

S.R. 9A/Heckscher Drive interchange improvement project Traffic Impacts
September 6 - September 12, 2008:
Lane closings will occur at various locations within the project limits next week on S.R. 9A, Heckscher Drive and New Berlin Road. Lane closings are allowed between 7 p.m. and 6 a.m. New Berlin Road at the railroad crossing near S.R. 9A is closed until early 2009. This project should be completed by the spring of 2009.
St. Johns Avenue between Glendale Street and Van Wert Avenue Water Main Installation
September 6 - September 12, 2008:
This section of St. Johns Avenue is closed to through traffic. The area is still accessible to local traffic. Detour signs will be posted. This detour will last through mid-October. The detour is necessary to construct a water main.
State Road 9A at J.T. Butler Boulevard Traffic Impacts

J. Turner Butler Boulevard/S.R. 9A interchange construction
Various ramp closings and directional closures will occur within the project limits on J. Turner Butler Boulevard and S.R. 9A from Sunday, September 7 through Friday, September 12 between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m. These closings and detours will not happen simultaneously. Only individual closings will occur on various nights. Daytime lane closings on J. Turner Butler Boulevard and S.R. 9A are scheduled in both directions within the project limits between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. daily from Monday, September 8 through Friday, September 12. The off ramp from S.R. 9A southbound to Gate Parkway WILL BE TOTALLY CLOSED FOR APPROXIMATELY THREE WEEKS starting on Monday, September 15. Guardrail and pavement work will be occurring. Traffic will be detoured to Baymeadows to SR. 9A northbound to Gate Parkway. There are two long term detours in place. Both should end in October after the two ramps currently under construction open. S.R. 9A south to J. Turner Butler Boulevard east is being detoured to the Gate Parkway exit to S.R. 9A north to J. Turner Butler Boulevard east. J. Turner Butler Boulevard east to S.R. 9A north is being detoured to Kernan Boulevard to J. Turner Butler Boulevard west to S.R. 9A. This project should finish by the end of this year.

Please be aware of vehicles entering and leaving the roadway.

Daytime lane closures are scheduled on State Road 16 from U.S. 1 to the Clay County line Monday, September 8 through Thursday, September 11 while crews repaint the roadway symbols, such as turn lane arrows. One lane of traffic will remain open in both directions.
State Road 312 Cathodic Protection Traffic Impacts
September 6 - September 12, 2008:
Eastbound State Road 312, on the bridge over the Matanzas River, is scheduled to be reduced to one lane Monday, September 8 through Friday, September 12 from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. while crews complete the bridge joint replacement. Boaters should also use caution while work is completed outside the main channel beneath the bridge, Saturday, September 6 through Friday, September 12.

U.S. 1 at King Street Intersection Work Traffic Impacts
September 6 - September 12, 2008:
Westbound King Street is closed to traffic near Broudys and a new detour is in effect. Motorists will be detoured south on U.S. 1 to State Road 207 to South Dixie/Pellicer Lane and back to King Street. This detour will be in place for approximately three more weeks while the northwest corner of the intersection is under construction.
Daytime lane closures may also be encountered at the intersection of U.S. 1 and King Street Monday, September 8 through Friday, September 12 from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. while crews work on the turn lanes. Lane shifts are scheduled to occur on King Street at Malaga Street/Sebastian Harbor Drive Monday, September 8 and Tuesday, September 9 while crews prepare for signal installation. Motorists should be aware of the change in traffic patterns.
The eastbound detour on King Street will take place once westbound King Street traffic is restored, approximately six weeks from August 5. Stay tuned for weekly updates on when the eastbound detour will occur.

Daytime lane closures begin after 8:30 a.m. to mill, or remove the top layer of asphalt, and replace with a bottom layer of asphalt from north of U.S. 129 in Branford to the Columbia County line. Also, drainage structures (culverts) will continue to be replaced or extended. In Branford, new sidewalk will be placed.

Daytime lane closures as crews prepare the shoulders for paving from north of the Branford city limits to McAlpin. If entering the road from a driveway in the middle of a lane closure, make sure the traffic is headed in the same direction you wish to travel to avoid a head-on collision. Also, crews are working on drainage pipes but no lane closures expected.
